The BlackVue Elite 10 is a premium forward facing dash cam built around Sony’s latest STARVIS 2 image sensor, recording 4K Ultra HD video (3840 x 2160) at 30 frames per second through a fast f/1.7 wide angle lens. Advanced HDR balances bright and dark areas in the same frame, so number plates and road signs stay readable whether you are pulling out of a tunnel or driving into low sun. It is the flagship of BlackVue’s latest Elite range and the successor to the DR970X series.

Where the Elite 10 really pulls away is when your car is parked. Its Power Saving Parking Mode draws less than 1mA in standby and wakes in under a second when a sensor trigger is detected, giving you weeks of parked protection from a hardwired install without flattening your car battery, or several months when paired with the BlackVue Ultra Battery (B-130A). Event File Protection keeps up to 50 critical clips safe from being overwritten.

Built in GPS, dual band WiFi (2.4GHz and 5GHz) and BlackVue Cloud compatibility (with the optional LTE module) mean you can play back footage, change settings or check on your vehicle from your phone, whether you are sat next to it or on the other side of the country. Future proof too: the Elite 10 supports a 4K rear camera, so you can add a second camera later and upgrade to a full dual 4K system without replacing the whole unit.

Installation
