The BlackVue Elite 8 is a premium forward facing dash cam built around Sony’s latest STARVIS 2 image sensor, recording crisp 2K QHD video at 30 frames per second through a 142 degree wide angle f/2.0 lens. Advanced HDR balances bright and dark areas in the same frame, so number plates and road signs stay readable whether you are pulling out of a tunnel or driving into low sun.

Where the Elite 8 really pulls away is when your car is parked. Its Power Saving Parking Mode draws less than 1mA in standby and wakes instantly when a sensor trigger is detected, giving you days or weeks of parked protection from a hardwired install without flattening your car battery. A 10 second buffer captures the moments before any incident, not just the aftermath, so you have the full story when you need it.

Built in GPS, dual band WiFi and BlackVue Cloud compatibility (with the optional LTE module) mean you can play back footage, change settings or check on your vehicle from your phone, whether you are sat next to it or on the other side of the country. A dedicated rear camera port lets you add a second camera later and upgrade to a full 2 channel system without replacing the whole unit.

Installation
